What are the plastic injection mold processing processes?
Plastic injection mold processing technology mainly includes the following steps:
(1) Mold design: According to product requirements, mold design. This includes determining the overall structure of the mold, material selection, injection port location, cooling system design, release mechanism design and many other aspects.
(2) Mold manufacturing: according to the design drawings, mold manufacturing. This process includes roughing, semi-finishing and finishing stages.
(3) Cavity processing: The key part of the manufacturing mold, including the cavity, gate, parting surface, etc., requires high-precision processing equipment and strict operating procedures.
(4) Mold assembly: Assemble the manufactured cavity, gate, parting surface and other parts together to form a complete mold. In this process, it is necessary to pay attention to the dimensional accuracy and assembly order of each part.
(5) Injection system: The injection system is the core component of the injection molding machine, which injects the plastic melt into the mold cavity. Injection system is usually composed of injection screw, barrel, nozzle, check ring and so on.
(6) Mold locking system: The mold locking system is another core component of the injection molding machine, which closes the mold and keeps it closed during the injection process to prevent the overflow of plastic melt. The clamping system is usually composed of clamping head, clamping frame and hydraulic cylinder.
(7) Injection molding: Put the plastic raw materials into the injection cylinder, heat to the melting state, and then under the action of injection pressure, the melted plastic is injected into the mold cavity. In the process of injection molding, it is necessary to pay attention to the control of injection speed, injection amount, injection temperature and other factors.
(8) Cooling shaping: The plastic after injection needs to be cooled for a period of time in the mold to make it shaped and prevent shrinkage. The cooling setting time needs to be determined according to factors such as the type of plastic, the structure of the mold and the injection amount.
(9) Release out: After cooling and setting, the mold needs to be opened and the molded plastic is pushed out of the cavity. The way of ejection can be selected according to the structure and use of the mold, such as manual ejection, pneumatic ejection, hydraulic ejection and so on.
In short, the plastic injection mold processing process is a process involving multiple links and factors, each link requires fine operation and high-precision equipment to ensure the accuracy and service life of the mold.
