What are the parts of the injection mold?
Injection mold is a common tool used in the injection molding process, then which parts of the injection mold, the basic structure of the injection mold includes what? This article will give you a detailed introduction, I hope to help.

Injection mold is usually composed of a number of components, the basic structure of injection mold mainly includes template, guide post, guide sleeve, fixed plate, movable plate, nozzle, cooling system and other 6 parts. Each part has a different function and role, and the following will describe in detail what the various parts of the injection mold are.

1. Template
The template is the main part of the injection mold, usually composed of an upper template and a lower template. The upper template and the lower template are precisely positioned by the guide post, guide sleeve and other parts to form a closed mold cavity space. The template needs to have sufficient stiffness and accuracy to ensure the stability of the mold cavity and the quality of the finished product.

2. Guide post and guide sleeve
The guide post and guide sleeve are positioning parts in the mold, whose role is to ensure the accurate positioning of the upper and lower templates. The guide post is installed on the template, and the guide sleeve is fixed on the fixing plate or the lower template. When the mold is closed, the guide post and guide sleeve can prevent the mold from shifting or deformation, thus ensuring the accuracy and quality of the product.

3, fixed plate and movable plate
The fixed plate and the movable plate are connected above and below the template respectively. The fixed plate supports the weight of the form and provides stable support, while also providing a mounting location for components such as movable plates and ejector devices. The movable plate can be moved relative to the fixed plate in order to inject plastic or ejector products into the mold cavity.

4. Nozzle
The purpose of the nozzle is to inject the melted plastic into the mold cavity to form the final product. The nozzle is located at the entrance of the mold and is usually made of steel or copper alloy. Under a slight extrusion pressure, the plastic material enters the mold cavity through the nozzle, fills the entire space, and finally forms the product.

5. Cooling system
The cooling system is an important part of the injection mold, which includes the water channel, water outlet and water pipe. Its function is to provide cooling water to the mold and keep the mold surface temperature within a certain range. Cooling water can quickly reduce the temperature of the mold to ensure the quality of the product. At the same time, the cooling system can also extend the service life of the mold and improve production efficiency.

6. Ejector device
The ejector device is the mechanism that pushes the molded part out of the mold, which exerts a certain force through hydraulic pressure or spring, etc., to push the product out to the blanking machine or aggregate box, while ensuring that the molding quality of the product is not affected. In the design of ejecting device, factors such as ejecting position, ejecting speed and ejecting force should be considered.

In addition to the above six parts, injection molds also include some miscellaneous parts, such as air intakes, exhaust ports, indentation plates, etc., which are usually related to the shape, size and process requirements of the product. In short, the various components of injection moulds need to be designed and manufactured according to specific production requirements to achieve efficient and high-quality production of injection moulds.
