The injection mold processing technology parameter is?
Injection mold is a commonly used tool in industrial production, manufacturing injection mold needs to pay attention to many aspects, of which the main process parameters are one of the very important factors to consider. The main process parameters refer to the key parameters that affect the molding quality and efficiency in the process of injection mold processing, including injection temperature, injection pressure, injection speed, pressure holding time, cooling time and other five aspects.
Here is an introduction to the 5 main process parameters of injection mold processing:
1, injection temperature
Injection temperature refers to the temperature at which the mold and plastic are heated. Directly affect the size and appearance of the product, the temperature is too high will lead to product deformation, too low will appear short charge, raw edge and other defects. In the injection mold processing need to adjust the injection temperature according to different plastic materials.
2, injection pressure
Injection pressure refers to the pressure exerted by the injection molding machine to inject the plastic into the mold. It has obvious influence on the filling, compactness, warpage, shrinkage and surface smoothness of molded parts. If the injection pressure is too small, it is easy to appear shrinkage and unfilled defects; If the injection pressure is too large, it may cause mold damage or the failure of the contact sensor control.
3, injection speed
Injection speed is also a key parameter, referring to the instantaneous use of the charging machine to push the plastic into the mold cavity and apply the required pressure. Too fast or too slow injection speed will have an adverse effect on the molding quality, too fast will easily lead to short charge, burr and other problems; Too slow may cause the product to leave bubbles or flow marks and other defects.
4. Pressure holding time
Pressure holding time refers to the time required to maintain a certain pressure to fully fill the mold cavity after the injection is completed. Too short pressure holding time will cause the plastic to not completely fill the mold cavity, leaving gaps and defects; And too long holding time may also lead to deformation and irregular surface, affecting the quality of the finished product.
5. Cooling time
Cooling time refers to the time required for the internal temperature of the mold to reach about 50% of the temperature in the barrel. Insufficient cooling time may lead to dimensional instability and insufficient strength of the molded product, excessive cooling will increase costs and manufacturing cycles, and may also lead to dimensional imprecision and deformation of the molded product.
In short, the main process parameters of injection mold processing are very critical and need to be adjusted and mastered according to different plastic materials and mold design. Reasonable main process parameters can ensure the formation of high-quality, accurate molding products during injection mold processing, and improve production efficiency and reduce manufacturing costs.
